Unplug and Play

on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 11:28:00 AM

There is a movement worldwide to Unplug and Play for at least 60 minutes a day.
Research shows that children spend too much time in front of a screen (averaging almost
eight-hours per day) and not enough time moving, exploring, and actively playing. Yet, simple, unstructured, non-directed play without the guidance of any electronic devices is the most developmentally-appropriate, healing, and therapeutic activity our kids can engage in. Play allows their brain to wonder and structure itself to assimilate all the information they get bombarded with on daily basis.
